  16. Black Market Technologies Ships Complete E-mail and UUCP Setup and
  17. Administration Software for NEXTSTEP

  19. Announcing Connect It!
  20.  
  21. BROOKLYN, NY - Black Market Technologies announced first shipments
  22. of Connect It!, a new software application for setting up modems,
  23. UUCP, and e-mail for NEXTSTEP computers.
  24.  
  25. Connect It! offers an easy to use, high-level, point-and-click
  26. administrative interface for technical and non-technical users that
  27. initializes new modems and configures operating system software to
  28. exchange e-mail with other NEXTSTEP and UNIX computers. Users may
  29. configure their own systems by setting a small number of options,
  30. including modem type, speed, and port, or accepting the default
  31. setup selected for their particular modem and system requirements.
  32. Remote e-mail connections are administered in a similar easy-to-use
  33. window; users set remote system name, time to call, remote dial-in
  34. and other information.  Once a computer is configured, e-mail may
  35. be automatically exchanged with any number of remote systems.

  37. Connect It! currently supports the following modems:

  40.         Telebit Trailblazer+
  41.         Telebit 2500
  42.         Telebit Worldblazer
  43.         Zyxel U-1496E
  44.         USR Sportster
  45.         Dove Fax (in non-fax mode only)
  46.         Some 100% Hayes-compatible modems

  48. The HSD and Supra modems will be officially supported shortly.
  49. Connect It! is also compatible with NXFax from Black and White
  50. Software, Inc., and requires NEXTSTEP 3.0 or 3.1 on NeXT or Intel
  51. computers.  Connect It! supports UUCP over a network connection,
  52. including SLIP, PPP, or standard TCP/IP.

  54. Connect It! works with most commercial e-mail service providers,
  55. including Netcom and UUNET.  PSI/Net support is in beta test and
  56. will be included in a subsequent release on August 15th, 1993.

  60. Connect It! for NEXTSTEP is available at a special introductory
  61. price of $99 per computer.  After August 30th, 1993, Connect It!
  62. will cost $145 per computer. Students and university staff with
  63. proof of current university affiliation may purchase Connect It!
  64. directly from Black Market Technologies for $45 per computer.
